Project Description

Cedar Station Park is a 74-acre park often referred to as Mize Lake. The City of Lenexa will develop 1.75 acres on the northwest corner of the lake to meet the needs of the surrounding area. New amenities planned include:

  • Parking lot
  • Seasonal restrooms
  • Picnic areas
  • Landscaping
  • Improved trail access
  • Landing near the lake

Total cost: $1.3 million

Final design: Summer 2022

Public Involvement

February 2021

In February 2021, surrounding neighborhoods gave feedback on the overall park design. Due to inflation, the plan was scaled back. However, the City plans to implement the full design in the future.
