HeART of Lenexa Contest winning artists holding ribbons

There’s lots to love about Lenexa. And when you combine local talent and local love, you get HeART.

On Feb. 1, 2024, the Lenexa Arts Council and Mayor Julie Sayers recognized 18 local artists for their Lenexa-inspired work as part of the HeART of Lenexa Contest. The annual contest, now in its ninth year, had more than 30 submissions.

These submissions came from all experience levels and in a variety of media from paintings and photography to fiber, jewelry and wood burning.

The juried contest is on display until Feb. 25, 2024, at Lenexa City Hall (17101 W. 87th St. Pkwy., Lenexa, KS 66219). Ribbons show category winners.
