We're celebrating National Farmers Market Week (August 6–12). Let's recognize the many people it takes to create and sustain a vibrant Lenexa Farmers Market week after week.

Customers – You are a key component for any community to have a successful market. Vendors often tell us how grateful they are for your continued support.

Farmers and vendors – These resilient folks show up on Saturdays and Tuesdays. But they also put in a lot of unseen sweat — and sometimes tears — to produce the food and products you love. Whether they plant and harvest or mix and bake, most of our vendors depend on their small businesses for a livelihood.

Community partners – The market offers a chance to work with other organizations on shared local food programs. We help save fresh food for those in need, support SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks, grow new farmers, and promote environmental awareness in relation to food.

Artists and musicians – What is a community without art? Our talented musicians and artists help make visiting the Market a memorable experience.

Sponsors – Sponsorship options allow us to keep vendor booth costs low, which results in lower food costs for customers. We are grateful for local businesses who value supporting their community farmers market.

Staff – Market staff work year-round to bring all of these people together. It takes stamina and dedication, but we enjoy serving our customers.
