Looking to earn money and work for a quality organization but need a flexible schedule? Check out summer aquatics jobs with Lenexa Parks & Rec.

The City of Lenexa will operate three outdoor pools this summer – Flat Rock, Ad Astra and the new Sar-Ko-Par Trails Aquatic Center. Our aquatics team also staffs the Lenexa Rec Center indoor pool.
Lenexa pays for needed certifications to work in aquatics as well as uniforms. Depending on hours worked and responsibilities, some positions also qualify for a free Rec Center membership.

Staffing the indoor pool at the Lenexa Rec Center also allows guards to earn money year-round or to fill in during breaks when school is not in session. Students can gain experience in the summer and then keep skills sharp in the off season and earn extra money by picking up at least two shifts a month.

Working for Lenexa also means you will work for managers and supervisors who have experience working with teens and young adults.

“I have had all four of my kids work for Lenexa as lifeguards and/or cashiers. It has been a great intro to working so they learn the value of making their own money, accountability and time management skills with a lot of opportunity for advancement which gives them a tremendous sense of pride. They have all made some of their very best friends as co-workers which makes it the perfect combination of great life lessons while having a lot of fun.” – Heather Clark, parent
