Lenexa voters have chosen a new mayor and one city council member for each ward in the Nov. 7, 2023, election. 

Official results are shown below.

Mayor

  • Joe Karlin: 47.26%
  • Julie Sayers: 52.61%

City Council Ward 1

  • Bethany Griffith:34.5%
  • Courtney Eiterich*: 65.19% 

City Council Ward 2

  • Jermaine Jamison: 49.5%
  • Mark Charlton 50.34%

City Council Ward 3

  • Chelsea Williamson: 54.17%
  • Dan Roh*: 45.59%

City Council Ward 4

  • Christopher Herron: 58.19%
  • Michael Elliott: 41.44%

Each of Lenexa’s four council wards is represented by two council members, who are elected to four-year terms. One councilmember is up for election in each ward every two years. To find out which council ward you live in, go to Lenexa.com/WardMap.

The new mayor and councilmembers will be sworn in at the Dec. 5, 2023, City Council meeting. Council meetings are held the first and third Tuesday of each month at Lenexa City Hall. You can also watch recordings of past meetings at Lenexa.com.

Did you post a yard sign to support a candidate? Remember that City Code requires these be removed within two days after an election.
