The countdown to spring break is on and summer is just around the corner. With our flagship pool — Indian Trails Aquatic Center — undergoing major renovations, here is what you can expect at Lenexa’s outdoor pools this year.
Ad Astra and Flat Rock Creek pools open Saturday, May 27
Daily pool hours are noon to 7:30 p.m.
Flat Rock Creek Pool closes for the season Aug. 6.
Ad Astra Pool remains open weekends only with adjusted hours from Aug. 14 through Sept. 4.
Indian Trails Aquatic Center remains closed for construction until summer 2024.
Summer pool memberships are on sale now!
Save 10% by purchasing your single, senior or household pool membership by March 31. The early-bird discount also gives you free guest passes. Midseason memberships go on sale July 10. Daily admission rate at both pools is $5 a day for residents, $7 for nonresidents and $1 for seniors. Children age 2 and younger are free.
Outdoor swim lessons take place at Ad Astra Pool June 5–Aug. 3
Two-week sessions take place Monday through Thursday, with Friday reserved as a make-up day. Private and semiprivate lessons are also available, as well as indoor lessons at the Lenexa Rec Center. Register for outdoor lessons starting May 15 at 8 a.m.
Sign up for Lenexa Lazers Swim and Dive Team starting March 31
Open to kids age 5 to 18, Lazers will practice between 7:30 and 11:30 a.m. at Ad Astra Pool. Learn more and register
Planning a pool party?
Both Ad Astra and Flat Rock Creek pools can host your pool party. We have two party packages available at both pools as well as after-hour rentals. Learn more
Bike or walk safely to Ad Astra Pool.
If you live south of Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park, use the new Little Mill Creek Trail Tunnel to safely cross 87th Street Parkway on your way to Ad Astra Pool.
